A lookbook is not a dump of SKUs. It is a short film you can still. How to edit for stillness.

Most digital lookbooks fail the silence test: open the PDF or page with the sound off, notifications off, no caption — does anything hold? If the answer is only the logo, you have a catalogue, not an editorial object.

Surviving silence means sequence. Open on a detail that teaches fabric. Move to a full silhouette that teaches proportion. Insert one image that is almost empty — wall, light, a sleeve edge — so the eye rests. End before you are done explaining.

Casting and location matter less than consistency of light. Mixed lighting across a lookbook is the visual equivalent of changing typefaces mid-sentence. Pick a time of day and protect it.
